Mayweather vs Logan Paul Fight

Floyd Mayweather returns to the boxing ring this weekend as he fights YouTube star Logan Paul in a lucrative exhibition contest in Miami. One of boxing's greatest pound-for-pound fighters, 2020 International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee Floyd Mayweather Jr., puts on the gloves once again as he takes on YouTube personality Logan Paul in an eight-round exhibition bout on Sunday from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.

Retired former pound-for-pound boxing king Floyd Mayweather Jr. will step back into the ring on June 6 for an exhibition bout with YouTuber Logan Paul at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.

It's a boxing match that nobody necessarily asked for but will happen. And it's certain that there will be a lot of eyeballs on this fight as the undefeated 44-year-old will give up six inches in height and some considerable size to his 26-year-old opponent, who has an 0-1 in professional boxing matches.

Mayweather was last seen in a boxing ring on New Year's Eve 2018, when he scored a first-round TKO against Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition bout. He last competed as a professional in 2017 against MMA superstar Conor McGregor and stopped him in the 10th round to improve to 50-0. His opponent in June will, by far, have the least boxing experience than any of his previous opponents.

Paul is a massive celebrity who made a name for himself on YouTube but has very little boxing experience. He's had one professional fight and one exhibition, both against fellow YouTuber KSI. The 2018 exhibition ended in a majority draw while KSI won the rematch in November 2019 with a six-round split decision.

It's clear that this fight has less to do with being competitive than being an entertaining way for both Paul and Mayweather to make money.

Also on the card: former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson, who's expected to fight another former athlete or celebrity.

This is, for all intents and purposes, a one-fight event. However, the undercard has filled in with a few names hardcore fans will get excited for as well as another celebrity bout to kick things off. Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson will open things up in an exhibition bout against MMA and bare knuckle boxing veteran Brian Maxwell. Plus, Rising junior middleweight Jarrett Hurd is back when he takes on Luis Arias. And light heavyweight Badou Jack returns to take on Dervin Colina after his scheduled opponent, Jean Pascal, tested positive for three different performance enhancing drugs.

Below is the full fight card along with all the info you'll need to watch the action on Showtime PPV.

How to watch

The easiest way to watch online is via Fanmio.

Those who want to see the fight will need to get pay-per-view access. A ticket to watch the fight comes with a T-shirt and costs $49.99 (£36, AU$64).

Fanmio's site says that 20 US residents who sign up for Fanmio will also get a video meet-and-greet with the fighters -- and the giveaway rules say those winners do not have to buy the fight to enter the drawing.

There are other ways to watch, however.

In the US you can pay Mayweather's usual partner Showtime $49.99 to watch the fight.

In the UK you can watch via Sky Sports Box Office for a relatively cheap £16.95.

In Australia you can watch via Main Event for AU$49.95, which cheaper than you'll be paying on Fanmio, but you'll need access to Foxtel to access Main Event, which makes things trickier. If you don't already have a Foxtel subscription, best to just go the Fanmio route.
