Streamkeys Reborn is designed with your privacy in mind. We do NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal data, browsing history, or private information to external servers. All operations are performed locally on your device.
2. Why We Need Permissions
To function correctly as a global media controller, Streamkeys Reborn requires the following permissions in Chrome:
• "scripting": This permission is required to safely inject our media control script (to play, pause, change volume, or skip tracks) directly into the website that is currently playing media.
• "tabs": We use this to scan your open tabs locally to automatically detect which tab is currently playing audio or video. We only look for audible or active tabs to know where to send the media control commands.
• "Host Permissions (*://*/*)": This allows the extension to control media playback on any website you visit (e.g., YouTube, Spotify, Netflix). We do not track or record the websites you visit.
• "storage": We use local storage on your device strictly to save your trial status, installation time, and your premium license key. This data never leaves your browser.
3. Third-Party Services
We use Gumroad securely for processing payments and generating license keys. We do not have access to your payment details. Please refer to Gumroad's privacy policy for information on how they handle payment data.
