StraightJacket is a 90s rock cover band formed in 2017, when Jason Small (vocals), Ian Costello (guitar), and Andrew O’Neil-Smith (bass) united over a shared love of flannel, fuzz pedals, and Fruit by the Foot. After a drummer search that would make Spinal Tap proud, Heather Gorges joined the band in January 2026, bringing powerful grooves to the lineup.

StraightJacket is fully committed to reviving the glory days of Nickelodeon, Nirvana, and not quite knowing how to use the internet. Delivering a nostalgic punch of alt-rock, grunge, and guilty pleasures—with just the right amount of distortion—StraightJacket brings the best of the 90s back to life.

Our current set pulls from every corner of late-90s and early-2000s rock and pop — from the moody melodies of Matchbox Twenty and Alanis Morrissette to the pop-punk punch of Blink-182 and Green Day, with a little Metallica thrown in for good measure. We cover fan favorites by Stone Temple Pilots, Third Eye Blind, Goo Goo Dolls, Eve 6, and Radiohead, then mix in the occasional curveball like Britney Spears or the Backstreet Boys. Whether it was burned onto a CD-R or blasting from a bedroom stereo, if it made the era unforgettable, there’s a good chance it’s in the set. 

StraightJacket plays the songs that made the ’90s loud, weird, and unforgettable. Our set dives deep into the decade that defined a generation, with a few favorites from outside the era mixed in. We’re always adding new material to keep the set fresh and the ’90s kid in everyone happy.
