StraightJacket is a 90s rock cover band born in 2017, when Jason Small (vocals), Ian Costello (guitar), and Andrew O’Neil-Smith (bass) united over a shared love of flannel, fuzz pedals, and Fruit by the Foot. With the addition of Eddie Marshall (drums) in 2023, the lineup is now complete — and fully committed to bringing back the glory days of Nickelodeon, Nirvana, and not quite knowing how to use the internet. StraightJacket delivers a nostalgic punch of alt-rock, grunge, and guilty pleasures with just the right amount of distortion. 

Our current set pulls from every corner of late ‘90s and early 2000s rock and pop — from the moody melodies of Matchbox Twenty and Alanis Morrissette to the pop-punk punch of Blink-182 and the offbeat charm of Barenaked Ladies. We cover fan favorites by Stone Temple Pilots, Third Eye Blind, Goo Goo Dolls, Eve 6, and Radiohead, then throw in surprises like Britney Spears, Shaggy, and the Backstreet Boys. Whether it was burned onto a CD-R or blaring from a bedroom stereo, if it made the decade unforgettable, there’s a good chance it’s in the set. 

We aim to play the best music of the 90's for audiences that share our love for the power and nostalgia of an era past, along with some favorites from before and after. Our belief is that good music is ageless, as long as it makes you move!
