This Privacy Policy explains how Stop Gambling Tracker (“the App”) handles information when you use the App.
Stop Gambling Tracker is a private self-tracking tool designed to help users monitor their progress in staying away from gambling. The App is not a medical service, does not provide medical treatment, and does not provide professional medical or psychological advice.
By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
The App may allow you to enter and store information such as:
the approximate length of time you have gambled;
your estimated historical gambling losses;
the approximate amount of time spent gambling;
the date of your last gambling activity;
your personal reason for stopping gambling;
gambling relapse episodes;
money lost during relapse episodes;
time spent gambling during relapse episodes;
application preferences, including language, theme, Home screen personalization, and discreet mode settings.
This information is stored locally on your device.
The developer does not operate an account system, cloud database, community platform, or remote recovery-data server for the App.
Your gambling history, personal reason for stopping, financial-loss information, relapse history, and recovery progress are not intentionally transmitted to the developer.
The App stores its main user data locally using Android local storage technologies.
Local data may include:
your gambling profile;
progress history;
relapse episodes;
current and previous streak information derived from your data;
personalization settings;
language and theme preferences;
locally stored Pro entitlement state used for continuity;
application configuration data.
The App does not provide automatic cloud synchronization of this recovery information.
Android Auto Backup and device-to-device backup for the App's private application data are disabled.
Pro users may manually create a local backup file.
When you choose to create a backup:
the App uses the Android system document picker;
you choose where the file is saved;
the backup is created only after your explicit action;
the App does not upload the backup to a developer-operated server.
A backup may contain information such as your profile, relapse history, preferences, progress metadata, and application settings.
When restoring a backup, the App reads only the file that you explicitly select through the Android system document picker.
You are responsible for protecting backup files that you save outside the App.
The App may allow Pro users to export their progress to a text file.
The exported file may contain:
your personal reason for stopping;
current and longest streak;
days without gambling;
gambling days;
estimated money not gambled;
estimated returned time;
historical gambling-loss information;
relapse information.
Export is initiated manually by you.
The App uses the Android system document picker and does not automatically upload exported files.
Exported files remain under your control and remain on the storage location you select until you delete them.
The App does not require broad access to all files on your device for backup, restore, or export.
Instead, it uses Android's system file/document picker.
The App receives access only to files or locations that you explicitly select for the requested operation.
The App may access the internet for limited third-party functionality, including:
displaying advertisements through Google AdMob;
processing advertising consent through Google's User Messaging Platform;
communicating with Google Play for Pro purchase information and purchase restoration.
Your locally stored gambling history, personal reason, relapse information, estimated losses, and recovery progress are not intentionally sent to these services by the App.
The free version of the App may display banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob on limited non-critical screens.
Advertisements are not intended to appear in critical recovery experiences such as the “I feel the urge to gamble” screen.
Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and process certain information, which may include:
IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
device and advertising identifiers;
App Set ID and other applicable device or account identifiers;
interactions with advertisements and app-related advertising events;
diagnostic and performance information.
Google may use this information for purposes including advertising, measurement, analytics related to its advertising services, security, and fraud prevention.
The handling of this information is governed by Google's own privacy policies and terms.
The App uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising consent where required.
Depending on your country, region, device, and applicable law, you may be presented with a Google consent form before advertisements are requested.
Where required, the App may also provide access to advertising privacy options from Settings.
The App does not manually assume your consent status.
Google Mobile Ads SDK may access the Android advertising identifier or other applicable device identifiers depending on your device, Android settings, Google services configuration, advertising consent, and applicable law. Google states that advertising ID collection can be affected by developer configuration and user advertising-ID controls.
You can manage advertising-related settings through the privacy and advertising controls provided by Android and Google on your device.
Because the purpose of Stop Gambling Tracker is to help users stay away from gambling, the developer intends to use available AdMob blocking controls to restrict gambling, betting, casino, and social-casino advertising where those controls are available.
However, advertisement categorization and delivery are controlled by third-party advertising systems. Therefore, it is not possible to guarantee that every inappropriate or incorrectly categorized advertisement will always be blocked.
The App does not use your gambling history, relapse information, financial-loss information, personal reason for stopping, or recovery progress to select advertisements.
Users who purchase Pro Lifetime can use the App without advertisements.
When Pro entitlement is active, the App is designed not to request or display AdMob banner advertisements.
The App uses Google Play Billing to provide the optional Pro Lifetime purchase.
Purchases are processed by Google Play.
The developer does not receive or store your full payment-card information.
The App may receive information necessary to determine purchase status, such as:
whether the Pro product is purchased;
whether a purchase is pending;
purchase-related identifiers or tokens supplied by Google Play;
acknowledgement status;
product and pricing information supplied by Google Play.
Payment processing and associated information are governed by Google's own privacy policies and Google Play terms.
The App does not intentionally include its own:
Firebase Analytics;
Google Analytics integration;
Crashlytics;
custom behavioral analytics;
recovery-progress tracking server;
account-based tracking system.
However, third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob may process advertising interactions, diagnostics, device identifiers, and related information as described in this Privacy Policy and Google's documentation.
Depending on Android version and installed third-party SDK requirements, the App may use or receive access necessary for:
internet connectivity;
network-related functionality;
advertising services;
Google Play Billing;
advertising identifiers where available and permitted;
user-selected documents for backup, restore, and export.
The App does not require its core tracking functionality to access your:
camera;
microphone;
contacts;
precise GPS location;
phone calls;
SMS messages;
entire photo library;
entire device storage.
File operations for backup, restore, and export are performed through Android's system document picker and require an explicit action from you.
The developer does not sell your gambling history, personal reason, relapse information, financial-loss information, or recovery progress.
The App does not intentionally share this locally stored recovery information with advertisers.
Third-party services integrated into the App may independently process information required to provide their services, including Google AdMob, Google UMP, and Google Play.
Those services operate under their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
Your locally stored App data generally remains on your device until:
you modify or delete it through available App functionality;
you clear the App's data through Android settings;
you uninstall the App.
Because automatic Android cloud backup of private App data is disabled, the App does not rely on Android Auto Backup to restore your recovery history after reinstallation.
Files that you manually export or save as backups exist independently of the App. Uninstalling the App does not necessarily delete those manually created files.
You must delete those files separately from the location where you saved them.
The App is designed to minimize exposure of sensitive recovery information by keeping core tracking data locally on the device.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Third-party services integrated into the App apply their own security practices. Google states that information collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS.
Stop Gambling Tracker is not designed as a children's application.
The App does not intentionally create accounts for children or knowingly operate a system for collecting children's gambling-recovery profiles on developer-controlled servers.
Advertising and consent behavior may also be subject to Google policies and applicable regional requirements.
The App may be available in multiple countries and languages.
Advertising consent requirements and privacy rights may differ depending on your jurisdiction.
Where applicable, Google UMP may present privacy or consent choices appropriate to the user's region.
The App uses or may use the following third-party services:
Google AdMob;
Google User Messaging Platform;
Google Play Billing;
Android / Google Play services necessary to provide related functionality.
These services may collect or process information independently under their own terms and privacy policies.

This Privacy Policy may be updated when:
App functionality changes;
third-party SDKs or services change;
advertising or billing practices change;
