StonePal (the "app") is an Android game published by PixelPlex79. This document explains what data the app processes, and why.
In short
The app asks for no personal data and runs no server of its own. Your progress lives on your phone; if you sign in to Google Play Games, a copy is also kept on your Google account so it can follow you to a new phone. What leaves your device is what Google needs to show ads, to keep that cloud save and to handle purchases you choose to make, plus ordinary web-server logs when artwork is downloaded.
Game progress
Your rock's state, settings, in-game currency and unlocked content are stored in the app's storage on your device. Nobody but you can read them there.
Uninstalling the app deletes this local data permanently. You can also erase it yourself: Settings → Reset progress.
Cloud save (Google Play Games Services)
If the Google Play Games app is present on your phone, StonePal signs you in to Google Play Games Services and stores your progress (rocks, points, in-game currency and unlocked content) as a "saved game" on your Google account. Google keeps that save in the app's private space on your Google Drive; the developer has no access to it and runs no server of their own. Google processes your Play Games player identity (player ID, gamertag, avatar) and SDK diagnostics under the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Signing in is optional. If the automatic sign-in fails or you decline, the game works exactly the same and saves progress only on the phone; you can sign in later with Settings → Sign in. When a newer save exists in the cloud, Settings → Restore brings it back to the phone.
In-app purchases (Google Play)
Amber packs can be bought for real money. Payment is handled solely by Google Play: the app never sees or stores card, address or other payment details. From Google the app receives only the product identifier and a purchase token, used once to add the Amber and close the transaction; the token is kept on the device so that an interrupted purchase is not credited twice. Refunds and payment disputes are handled by Google Play under its own policies.
Content downloads
Artwork (habitats, textures, accessories) is downloaded after first launch from the server assets.pixelplex79.link over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Like any web server, it records IP address, timestamp and the name of the file requested in a technical log. These logs are used only for diagnostics and traffic statistics; they are not linked to any individual and not shared.
Advertising
The app shows Google AdMob ads, and only ads you choose to watch: you get an in-game reward for watching one. No ad ever appears on its own.
Google AdMob may process your device's advertising identifier and technical data (device model, approximate location derived from IP address, ad interaction data) in order to select and measure ads. See How Google uses data (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites) and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Consent (GDPR). If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you will be asked on first launch whether you consent to personalised advertising. You can change that answer at any time: Settings → Ad consent → Change. Declining does not remove ads; it means they are selected without using your data.
You can also reset or delete your advertising identifier in Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
Notifications
The app may send reminders while it is closed ("your rock is waiting"). These are local notifications: your device schedules and displays them, and no data is sent anywhere because of them. You can switch them off in the app's Settings or in Android's system settings.
What the app does NOT do
• it does not collect your name, e-mail address, phone number or any contact details,
• it runs no analytics or crash-reporting service of its own (Google's SDKs for ads, Play Games and payments may send their own diagnostics to Google, as described in Google's policy),
• it does not read your contacts, photos, files or precise location,
• it does not record audio or video,
• it does not sell or share personal data with third parties, beyond the Google processing described above.
Deleting your data
• On the device: Settings → Reset progress erases the save, settings and purchase tokens from the phone. Uninstalling the app removes everything the game stored locally.
• In the cloud (Google Play Games): delete the saved progress and your player ID in the Google Play Games app: Settings → Delete Play Games data → StonePal. You can also delete the data of all games at once from your Google account.
• Advertising identifier: reset or delete it in Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
• The developer keeps no accounts and no server holding player data, so there is nothing else to delete on our side. Questions: the address in the "Contact" section below.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
This policy may change as the app is updated. The date at the top always shows when it was last changed.
