Student Intervention Events
Stoke-on-Trent Mathematics Excellence Partnership organises and funds a variety of intervention activities in mathematics for students in the City.
These are targeted at specific year groups and ability ranges.
We will be running sessions for Years 3-6, Year 7, year 8 students and also 4 different sessions for year 11, based on ability cohorts. There is also a city-wide approach to support transition from GCSE to A Level.
In 2018, Year 12 and 13 intervention sessions were held in October to give students a boost in confidence at the start of the year.
We are also organising some focused intervention sessions for students studying A Level mathematics in the Easter holidays.
We have also produced a PowerPoint of GCSE starter questions to use in the classroom. This can be downloaded from the useful links page.
