Considering a career in teaching maths or physics?

Information about School Experience Internships Summer 2019

St Joseph's Teaching school, in liaison with Stoke MEP, Staffordshire University Education, St Joseph's SCITT and the OAKS (Ormiston SIr Stanley Matthews Academy and Keele University)will again be running the paid internship scheme this summer for undergraduates studying a maths, physics or engineering degree who are considering teaching as a career.

The scheme will run for 4 weeks from 10th June to 5th July 2019.

Successful applicants will work alongside maths or physics teachers in a local secondary school or alongside teachers in primary schools.

Some of the placements are funded as part of a government initiative to encourage more graduates to consider teaching as a career and secondary school places for maths and physics are for undergraduates in the penultimate year of their degree.

Places in primary schools are available for undergraduates of maths in any year of their degree.
