St Paul Cathedral in London was on my bucket list and I believe that it is both iconic and memorable landmark. I stood on the uppermost reaches of the dome once, many years ago.In 2018 I took this picture from across the Thames. I crossed every bridge between Lambeth and Tower Bridges that day!A 'Bubbler' happened to be there, entertaining the passers-by and this lovely photo captured the moment perfectly.Photo by Tony Draaijer

Vorkuta is a coalmining town, 67 degrees north and inside the Arctic circle. Vorkuta experiences a polar day between May 30th and July 14th when the sun doesn’t set, and a polar night between December 17th and December 22nd when there is no sunrise. The picture of a sunset at Vorkuta was taken about 11 pm on the 8th of August, 1997, shortly before sunset. This spot-lit photo of traditional fishing boat ‘L’Avenir’ leaving Motueka, carving through an oily smooth sea ahead of threatening heavy rain, is one of Harold Mason's favourites.Imagine heading out in this small vessel for the next week or two!Photo by Harold Mason

To think that such beautiful scenery is located so close to our lovely city! This photo, taken of the Jetty at Lake Rotoiti epitomises the grandeur of the top of the South Island and is less than 90 minutes from our front doors!Photo by Tony Draaijer

This is arguably Nelson's finest kinetic art piece. Situated near the Trafalgar Centre precinct, by the Maitai River, the movement of the various parts of the fixture move gracefully and randomly. It is well worth a visit.Photo by Tony Draaijer
