General information & Objectives
The STIX team organizes a series of "in-person" meetings aimed at discussing the new observations obtained by STIX, together with other instruments onboard Solar Orbiter, Parker Solar Probe, SDO, STEREO as well as ground-based instrumentation. This is also the place to discuss the present state of the instrument.
This meeting brings together scientists involved in the scientific analysis of STIX data. The meeting is open to all members of the Solar Orbiter community and includes a dedicated “STIX Friends” session for studying combined observations with other instruments and discussing related models and theories.
While it is planned to have a link to allow remote participation of a few participants, we strongly favour in-person participation.
Please be aware that this event will be recorded. The recordings will be used solely for documentation purposes. If you have any concerns or prefer not to be recorded, please contact the event organizers in advance.

The STIX meeting will be held at the Dipartimento di Matematica, Università di Genova (Via Dodecaneso 35, 16146, Genova, Italy). See Logistics for more details about how to reach the Dipartimento.

Suggested destination: Genova Brignole train station.
There is a city airport in Genova, from there you can reach Brignole train station with a half an hour bus (Volabus). However, since there are not many international connections to Genova’s airport, you may also consider a flight to Milano Linate, Milano Malpensa or Pisa Airport, then both from Milano Centrale Pisa Centrale you can find a convenient train solution to Genova Brignole/Genova Principe.
Suggested connections Milano Linate --> Milano Centrale: Underground, Milano Malpensa --> Milano Centrale: Malpensa Express; Pisa Airport --> Pisa Centrale: 30 minutes walk or Pisa Mover
From Genova Principe you can reach Genova Brignole train station either with a regional train or with the underground.

From Brignole train Station: You can take either autobus 16 or 17 in the direction of Nervi, getting off at Europa1/Ospedale San Martino or autobus 45, or 86, or 87 in the direction of Ospedale Gaslini, getting off at San Martino 2/Papigliano. Then from both bus stations you will have a 10/15 minutes walk.
