Just curious because I've never met anyone else...EVER...that has played FPS's with legacy stick controls. I played a ton of Perfect Dark back in the day and that's just how I learned to aim, look and strafe with the N64's joystick and C buttons. Also, is there anyone that used to play Legacy and has made the switch to Default? How did it effect your game play? I've messed around with Default for small amounts of time, but I don't think there is any chance at this point (I'm 26) that I could learn a completely different aiming/moving system.

So, I only signed up for Reddit to make this one post. I searched for a couple hours trying to find out how to get the legacy stick control option on fortnite, only to find out that it really doesn't exist. There were a few posts from about a year ago with basically no traction. I know, I know, people think we are weird, but we learned FPS from N64 bond 20 years and we've never adjusted out of that way of using the controller and to be honest it would take a massive amount of time to use normal controls now-a-days. I would agree, it is like telling a right-handed person to now be left-handed. I really don't see how it could be that hard of a setting to create, seeing how fortnite already gives you about a million ways to adjust your settings, wouldn't this be a common sense additional one... The only other game I've ever come across that didn't have the legacy stick option was the Fallout series, which I still really want to play. I actually bought Fallout 4 and then returned it because I *couldn't* play it. I don't know what percentage of the FPS community this blocks from playing fortnite, it's probably less than 25%, but I'd bet it's easily 5-15%...

I recognize that the Legacy controller stick layout is not typical, but the fact that it's one of the presets and represents two out of four possible layouts including the Southpaw version means it is prevalent enough.

I'm definitely enjoying the game so far and understand that feedback helps to make positive changes going forward. With that in mind, it would be MUCH EASIER as a Legacy user to navigate the map as well as the wheels (health wheel, grenade wheel and ping wheel) if this could be done using one stick when in the toggled map and wheels.

I understand the inherent "movement" is used for map navigation and "aim/look" is used for the wheels, which for the Default controller stick layout means the left joystick and right joystick, respectively. For a "Legacy" controller stick layout this is just a bit confounding. As a tester, I would tell someone who wants to experience these to simply change their controller stick layout to Legacy, and then attempt to navigate on the map and on all of the wheels.

I have a 1996 legacy outback with 239,000 miles and things started when my clutch recently went out. I replaced all the clutch components, the flywheel, and both front driveaxles. This was the most substantial car work I had yet undertaken and I was thrilled when all of the new components worked fine.

Another problem came up immediately, however. Now my driver's side front brake is sticking. Basically, every time I drive the car, it runs fine 5 or so minutes until it gets warm and then the front driver's side caliper starts to stick and I can feel the brakes grabbing harder and harder. I can smell the brake burning and smoke will pour off the rotor on that side when I stop. I have closely inspected all of the other brakes at the time this is happening and they are fine. They are not grabbing or burning at all.

Sorry the problem wasn't the slider pin; any way you could take apart the piston and see what's causing the sticking instead of getting a whole new caliper? I've never really worked on these calipers, so I'm not 100% sure of what they look like/are work-able

Just adjust it till it doesn't stick. That's all it's for - to keep the throttle butterfly open just enough that it doesn't stick in the bore. It also, neccesarily, means that there's a controlled air leak around the butterfly - which will increase the idle speed a bit.

Its dark out now, I will check it tomorrow. If it is sticking in the bore, and it has been like that for a while should I see some wear at the sticking point? Location of the screw? I'm sure I will find it when it's daylight, it should obvious....

I don't remember looking at the butterfly when I did the head gaskets, I covered it as soon as I took the air box off. Can I reach the plate with my fingers? If I can reach it, I might be able to verify if that is what is sticking. I'm sure it's not the cable.

The stop screw is difficult to see sometimes. I could also be the throttle body is full of carbon, and the build up on the throttle plate is causing it to stick. A good cleaning of the throttle body and idle control motor could help the low idle issue as well.

You will see when it's light out - just take the airbox off the throttle body and you will see the butterfly. Honestly if it's not the cable's then I can guarantee it's the throttle butterfly as there is nothing else to cause such a symptom. Perhaps a cleaning as sugested will do the trick.... but my experience is that these don't stick like that - even after 300k miles they don't stick unless someone has messed with that screw. Could be some flunkie at the dealer - who knows .

Thanks everyone, you all are a great help. Ni worked late tonight, but will cheek it as soon as I get a minute. It's first on my list. I'm sure it's not the cables because I felt it when the cables wer disconnected when opening it by hand. I never looked inside, I covered it as soon as the air box came off and just never looked. Today it did not stick, and the idle was normal. This is my second day actualy driving this car. I tore it apart as soon as I got it.

You were right on, got out there today and I could feel it sticking when opening the butterfly with my fingers. Everything was pretty clean. I loosened the nut just a little, turned the screw a hair at a time till the moment there was no sticking. It was almost like not moving it at all it was so little. Throttle is no longer sticking at all! And idle no longer drops and sticks there. Another issue fixed! Thank you. I shouldnt say it, but it runs so good, I have to keep looking at the tach to make sure it's still running.

I had the same thing happen to me on my last car. I never touched the screw, but randomly one day after I owned it for over a year it just started sticking exactly like your described. Very fine adjustment of the screw fixed it, so it wasn't necessarily messed with. It just happened to me. ff782bc1db
