The John Paul Stevens High School Orchestra program is a comprehensive music ensemble serving students in grades 9 through 12, offering instruction and performance opportunities for musicians who play the violin, viola, cello, and bass. The Orchestra Program caters to a wide spectrum of skill levels, welcoming students from those who have never played an instrument to those with considerable experience. The program consistently achieves high musical standards, with students frequently earning positions in the highly competitive TMEA Region 29 All-Region Orchestra and consistently receiving Superior ratings at the UIL Concert & Sight Reading Evaluation each spring. Beyond their high school studies, many dedicated students further their musical development by participating in prestigious regional ensembles such as the Youth Orchestra of San Antonio (YOSA), reflecting the program's commitment to high-quality musical training and performance and its success in developing well-rounded, accomplished student musicians.
