Over the course of his 30+ year career in the Food Industry, Steven Mesia has cultivated a solid sense of expertise in the areas of recall recovery and quality systems management. In 2006, he founded Genesis Pathways, LLC and stood as the company’s President for over twelve years.
Education
Steven Mesia graduated from Bemidji State University in 1987. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organic Chemistry and Microbiology following the completion of his studies. From a young age, he was absolutely fascinated by science. As a young boy in elementary, middle and high school, he often found himself in awe of the lessons and experiments conducted in his science classes. When he applied to BSU, he immediately gravitated towards the programs offered in the science department. He decided on his Organic Chemistry and Microbiology focuses for the varied and versatile view the subjects allotted him. After he graduated and obtained his degree, Steven Mesia was certain that he would pursue a science-centric career path -- instead, he began a promising career in the Food Industry, beginning with the role of Quality Assurance Manager at Michael Foods. Unsurprisingly, his science background made him a perfect fit for the analytical process of Quality Assurance. The role introduced him to the crucially specific processes and procedures within the Food Industry; quickly, he realized that his background in science offered him the necessary tools to succeed in the business.
Genesis Pathways, LLC
Although his career in the Food Industry initially began somewhat unexpectedly, Steven Mesia established himself as a qualified and capable professional in the business over the years. In 2006, he embarked on a new journey by taking on the role of business founder and owner. He founded Genesis Pathways, LLC and developed a team of Quality Systems Consultants. Together, Steven Mesia and his team ensured that various companies adhered to all necessary FDA-approved regulations, policies and guidelines.
