I am a Senior Research & Development (R&D) Engineer at Ansys UK Ltd. and achieved my PhD degree at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Imperial College London in 2019. Before these I did my Master of Research (MRes) with Distinction on Fluid Dynamics (2014-15), and Master of Science (MSc) with Distinction on Advanced Computational Methods (2013-14), both at Imperial College London, and Bachelor of Power Engineering (Hon) at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), from 2009-13.
I am also a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and full Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE).
My work at Ansys UK includes CFD validation and development for industrial combustion systems, multi-phase flows, and thermal transfer challenges. I have more than 15 years' experience in Numerical Simulation.
My PhD supervisors are Prof. Bill Jones and Prof. Aimee S Morgans. My research interests include but not limited to: (1) Predicting thermoacoustic instabilities in industrial gas turbine combustor, (2) Predicting entropy wave advection in combustor chambers, and (3) Thermoacoustic interaction for combustors with long flames, etc.
My PhD studentship is fully funded by Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery UK, and the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Fluid Dynamics across Scales, Imperial College London.
