1. Application Overview

Welcome to StepOut, a mobile application developed by Enzo DE LA PENA, designed to help users improve their wake-up routine and daily habits.

The app provides a smart alarm system that encourages users to physically get out of bed and move (for example, by walking a certain number of steps) in order to stop the alarm.

By using StepOut, you agree to these Terms of Use without reservation.

2. Access to the Application

StepOut is a free application accessible without creating an account.

All user data is stored locally on the user’s device.

As a result:

• Data is not synchronized across multiple devices

• Deleting the app will result in permanent loss of data

• No user account is required to access the app

3. Features

StepOut allows users to:

• Set up personalized alarms

• Define movement-based goals (e.g., number of steps) to stop the alarm

• Improve wake-up habits and personal discipline

• (Optional) Temporarily restrict access to selected applications around alarm times, based on user settings

Features may evolve at any time.

4. Use of Device Controls (Screen Time / Family Controls)

StepOut may use certain iOS system features to:

• Help users limit access to selected apps

• Support focus and adherence to wake-up goals

These features:

• Are entirely optional

• Are activated only with the user’s explicit consent

• Do not allow monitoring or controlling another individual

No device usage data from these features is collected, stored, or shared خارج the user’s device.

5. Business Model

StepOut follows a premium subscription model.

Terms:

• Payments are handled by Apple (App Store)

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period

• Subscriptions can be managed via Apple account settings

• No partial refunds are provided for ongoing subscription periods

6. Personal Data & Privacy

StepOut does not require account creation and does not directly collect personally identifiable information.

However, analytics tools may be used to improve the app experience:

• PostHog

• AppsFlyer

These tools help analyze:

• Feature usage

• App performance

• User journey (onboarding, conversion, etc.)

No sensitive data or data from device control features is shared with these services.

Collected data is anonymized and used solely to improve the service.

StepOut complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

7. Intellectual Property

All elements of StepOut (name, logo, design, features) are the exclusive property of Enzo DE LA PENA.

Any unauthorized reproduction or use is strictly prohibited.

8. Liability

StepOut is provided "as is".

The publisher does not guarantee:

• Continuous or error-free operation

• Compatibility with all devices

• Data preservation in case of app deletion

Users are responsible for how they use the application.

9. Acceptable Use

Users agree to:

• Use the app for personal purposes only

• Not misuse or exploit the app’s features

• Comply with applicable laws

Any abusive use may result in restricted access.

10. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally, it can be deleted by uninstalling the application.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by French law.

Any disputes will be subject to the competent courts in France.
