Brandon Collins is the Regional Ecologist with the US Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Region. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor with UC Berkeley, Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management. Brandon has strong working relationships with land managers which yields a great two-way exchange of knowledge and ideas. Brandon draws from this exchange to shape and ground the research he's involved in.
Research Interests:
1) Vegetation and fuel development following forest treatments and disturbances
2) Effects of landscape fuel treatment networks on fire patterns
3) Fire patterns and vegetation feedbacks in long-term natural fire areas
