My passion for bugs and fire have led me to pursue research efforts that evaluate the impacts of restoration treatments on forest resiliency. My current research is focused on disentangling the relative effects of management legacy and climate on large-scale disturbances, with my research sites extending from Sierra de San Pedro Mártir in Baja California to Yosemite National Park in Alta California. When I'm not doing research, I'm happily serving as the graduate student coordinator for Latinx & the Environment - a research fellowship program at UC Berkeley that empowers Latinx undergraduates in becoming future leaders of environmental science.
