Since mid-2020 I have been working in the Macroeconomic Group at the Australian Treasury, studying issues around debt dynamics.
I received my Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne in 2020. My research focused on:
how house price expectations are formed;
how they drive fluctuations in housing and financial markets, and how these fluctuations are transmitted to goods and labour markets; and,
how policy can best mitigate these fluctuations.
My supervisors were Tim Robinson and Bruce Preston.
I was an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia from 2007 to 2016, working in both the Economic Research and Economic Analysis Departments on topics including quantitative easing, business investment, exports, and developments in overseas economies.
I was awarded a Master of Economics degree (with Excellence) from the University of New South Wales in 2015. I completed a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) degree from the University of New South Wales in 2008.
