About Me

I am a behavioral neuroscientist who uses rodent models to better understand the behavioral and biological bases of the varied symptoms present in psychiatric disorders. Currently, I work with Dr. Shelly Flagel as a postdoc at the Michigan Neuroscience Insitute.

Graduate Research

In the Nautiyal Lab at Dartmouth College, I used behavioral, pharmacological, genetic, and viral techniques in mice to study the serotonergic basis of impulsive behavior. In particular, I focused on how we can use batteries of behavioral tests to better understand the basic components underlying complex phenotypes like impulsivity.

Undergraduate Research

In the Glenn Lab at Colby College, I studied sex differences in prepulse inhibition, neurogenesis, and dendritic outgrowth in rats lacking the disrupted in schizophrenia-1 (DISC-1) gene.
