Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant
Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant
I am an associate professor of accounting at Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business.
My research examines how financial and policy-relevant information flows through markets, businesses, and governments. Drawing on financial disclosure, public finance, and information economics, I study how diverse information environments—from traditional earnings reports and regulatory filings to digital platforms like GitHub—and pressing societal challenges such as climate disruptions and cannabis legalization shape capital allocation, financial market behavior, and public sector outcomes.
My work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Review of Accounting Studies, and Management Science.
As an educator, I teach Intermediate Financial Accounting with an emphasis on helping students connect foundational accounting concepts to evolving economic and social contexts. I also lead doctoral seminars designed to foster creative and impactful research ideas among PhD students.
I am actively engaged in university service, serving as an elected Faculty Senator and as a member of the Freeman School's Technology Advisory Committee, Master of Accountancy Committee, and Doctoral Program Committee, as well as Newcomb College’s Undergraduate Curriculum Committee. In the broader academic community, I serve on the editorial board of Contemporary Accounting Research and regularly review for leading business journals.
