The Galaxy S24 Series Might Gain Some Cool AI Features from the Galaxy S25 with One UI 7

Although One UI 7 is still not rolling out to eligible devices (and rumors suggest the official release might wait until May 2025!), there are indications that some AI features from the Galaxy S25 could be transferred to the Galaxy S24 series.
According to Samsung leaker and insider Tarun Vats (@tarunvats33 on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter), Samsung could bring features like Audio Eraser, Best Face, and Log Video recording to the older Galaxy S24 models. This would be a nice addition for these high-end smartphones, showing that Samsung isn't reserving its latest AI innovations solely for the Galaxy S25 series.
The Audio Eraser feature, part of the Galaxy S25's video editor, allows you to clean up audio in your videos by isolating or boosting certain sound categories, such as random noises, music, or unwanted voices. While it is effective, it seems less robust and lacks the various studio modes offered by the iPhone's similar Audio Mix feature.
This functionality lets you minimize or amplify sounds that have been intelligently sorted into categories like Crowd, Music, Nature, Noise, Voices, and Wind. It is particularly useful when recording videos in noisy or windy environments.
On the other hand, the Best Face feature allows you to choose the most flattering face of a subject from a series of photos, similar to the Pixel's Best Take feature. Finally, Log Video recording might only be available on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, leaving out the standard Galaxy S24 and the S24 Plus.
As for when the One UI 7 update will reach older models, Tarun Vats mentions that Samsung plans to release a total of six One UI 7 betas before officially rolling out the software update to all eligible devices. This is a bit concerning, considering we are currently on beta 3 and Samsung appears to be gearing up to release one beta per month. This would mean One UI 7 could officially arrive in May 2025, a full nine months after the official launch of Android 15, which isn’t a great look for Samsung.
Among the new features in One UI 7, Galaxy AI makes up the majority of the additions, but there is much more to consider. The new interface has received design changes, new aesthetics, and a significant UX refresh. Customizability and personalization, already strong points of One UI, have also seen improvements, making this software update even more intriguing.

What do you think? Are the Galaxy S25 features reportedly coming to the Galaxy S24 series worth the potential near nine-month wait for One UI 7?
The nine-month wait for One UI 7 is largely based on speculation and rumors. While Tarun Vats indicated that if the current beta schedule continues, the official release could be in May 2025, there has been no official confirmation from Samsung regarding the exact timeline. Therefore, while it is a possibility, it is not confirmed.
