Leaker Reveals How the Galaxy S26 Ultra Compares to the S25 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max
Updated: Nov 04, 2025, 9:48 PM
Renowned leaker Ice Universe has shared side-by-side images of screen protectors for the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra, highlighting the refreshed design of Samsung's upcoming flagship.
Galaxy S26 Ultra: Taller and Rounder
The leaked images suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature rounder corners compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, moving away from the Note-like design. However, the edges won’t be as rounded as those on the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The screen protector for the S25 Ultra appears slightly larger, likely because the S26 Ultra is expected to be both taller and wider than its predecessor. The new model is projected to measure 163.4mm in height, a slight increase from the 162.8mm of the S25 Ultra, while the width is rumored to grow from 77.6mm to 77.9mm. Although these changes are minor, they are still noticeable, and the display size will remain at 6.9 inches.
Additional Changes on the Horizon
While the leak primarily showcases the front design, earlier reports suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will also be thinner. It’s anticipated to feature a pill-shaped camera island housing three of its four rear cameras. However, due to the camera bump, the overall thickness will exceed that of the S25 Ultra. At 217 grams, the new model may be slightly lighter than the current version. While these changes may seem insignificant individually, collectively, they could make the Galaxy S26 Ultra appear quite different from the S25 Ultra.
Price Implications
Alongside design updates, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to come with enhanced internals, including a faster processor and improved camera sensors. However, rising costs for these internal components may lead to price increases. With the Galaxy S25 Ultra already starting at $1,299, one of the highest price points in the market, consumers may be less receptive to further hikes. If Samsung cannot absorb these costs, it could struggle to meet its sales targets in an increasingly competitive landscape.
