Student volunteers distributing essential supplies to those experiencing homelessness

Step Zero is a student run nonprofit organization based in Burlington, Vermont facilitating the collection and distribution of PPE and other essential supplies during the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic

The Step Zero Team acknowledges that distributing supplies does not tackle the root issues of homelessness. We recognize that failed policies create homelessness just as much as successful policies can dramatically reduce it. 100% of our proceeds from our stickers or art fundraisers will be donated to nonprofits who focus on mentoring, education and employment training for disconnected youth. We hope that as we grow as a nonprofit we can focus our efforts to dismantling root causes of homelessness while simultaneously providing access to basic necessities.

Step Zero care packages include:

  • 3 masks

  • hand sanitizer

  • wipes & soap

  • warm socks

  • toothbrush, toothpaste & floss

  • tissue box

  • granola bars & fruit cup

  • water

  • tea, hot chocolate & lemonade mix
