Swedish educator, musician, composer

Degree at Gothenburg College of Music. Master in Musicology with artistic direction at

Örebro University.

Stefan is a trumpet and orchestral educator at Borås Kulturskola in Sweden. As a freelance

musician he is performing with different groups regulary in various genres. In the classical

field he has been principal trumpeter in Borås Symphony Orchestra for more than 25 years.

As a composer he has been portrayed in swedish television and radio and has been finalist at

the Music 2000 the Composer Festival in Cincinnati USA 2000. Premier Performance at

the Sarajevo Winter Festival 2001.

In 2010 in Elgin Scotland he had a premiere of his trumpet ensemble piece "Scherzo for Trumpets"

In 2011 he had  premiere performances at the Virginia Commonwealth University and at the

University of Whitewater, USA.

2011 and 2012 Composer in Residence at the Italian Brassweek 

2012 Premiere at the University of Belo Horizonte , Brazil 

2013 Premiere at the Italian Brassweek in Cesena

2024 Premiere in Izmir, Turkey with the Golden Horn Brassquintet

2015 and 2016 Composer in Residence at the Isla Verde Brass Festival, Argentina 

In 2016 he participated at the JazzPlaza in Havana, Cuba with a premiere performance. and

performing at jazz venues with different groups. 

2017 premiere of the same piece orchestrated for the Banda Nacional, in Havana.

In 2018 he had a premiere with a new work for Banda Nacional at the Jazz Plaza Festival in

Havana and performing at jazz venues with different groups.

In 2018 he was premiering a piece he composed in honor of Mr Nelson Mandela and performed at the

University of Kwazulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa.

In 2019 he was invited to Havana again premiering a new piece with Banda Nacional at the

Jazz Plaza Festival and performing at jazz venues with different groups.

In the same year he was composer in residence at the World Trumpet Society seminar in

Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

In 2020 he had a premiere performance in Managua, Nicaragua, with a new orchestral piece

at the Festival de las Artes.

In 2020 he had a premiere performance broadcasted online at the Jeju Windband Festival in
