I am a researcher with a multidisciplinary focus on health, development, labor, and political economy. My work leverages fine-grained, large-scale microdata to generate comprehensive yet accessible insights that inform and improve policy.
Currently, I work as a postdoc at the Bernhard-Nocht-Institute in Hamburg, where I contribute to academic and policy research on health policies in the Global South. My current projects include analyzing tobacco consumption patterns and tobacco control policies in Southeast Asia, as well as evaluating the impact of a large-scale governmental health intervention in Brazil on both health and electoral outcomes.
Previously, I worked with the KfW Development Bank and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Brazil, and as a research assistant at the German Institute of Global and Area Studies (GIGA).
