Second oddity: this GOG relase resembles very much to a Steam-cracked release: it has a bundled steam_api.dll file and I wouldn't be surprised if they bought the sw distribution licence and used some cracked steam_api.dll file. If you run the game in a slightly different position that the shaders expect (this happen when you force a window title or border around the client area) the game runs ok, but the images are awfully blurred, unfocused.
