The Southwest Tennessee Community College Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence is delighted to invite all faculty and staff to participate in Summer Institute 2024. We received submissions of presentation proposals that contribute to overall community and collaboration, teaching and learning, technology and innovation, student support and success, and recreational activities and wellness.

We are honored to announce that keynote speaker and author, Dr. Thomas Tobin, will be visiting Southwest to present a Universal Design for Learning and its application campus-wide in much of our interactions and activities with students. In addition to Dr. Tobin's keynote, we will hear from our Southwest President, Dr. Tracy Hall, and Vice President of Post-Secondary Programs at SCORE, Dr. Jamia Stokes,  about the ways that we foster connections to enhance community engagement and support students.

Raquel Adams and Selena Grimes will also provide insights and preparations for the upcoming accreditation site visit and how you can be involved in the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). Finally, Dr. Heidi Leming, Vice Chancellor for Student Success, will be speaking to all of us about the Complete Learner Record which is due to roll out in Fall of 2024.

Enjoy lunch on Tuesday (5/14) and Wednesday (5/15) followed by concurrent sessions presented by our esteemed faculty and staff as well as external speakers and presenters.

Welcome Everyone!

Lunch is provided for all participants on May 14th and May 15 for those who register by May 6th, 2024
