Hi, I’m Srdjan Stavrić (think "surgeon" but softer). I'm a theoretical physicist at the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences in Belgrade. My academic trajectory includes a PhD from the University of Belgrade in 2019, a scenic detour through Italy for a couple of postdocs, and a return to my home base in 2024.
My research revolves around advanced materials. Essentially, I take the rules of condensed matter physics, throw them into 21st-century supercomputers, and see what wonders come out. Ukoliko si student završne godine osnovnih studija ili master student fizike i interesuju te kvantni efekti u materijalima ovo se odnosi na tebe. U poslednje vreme se bavim dvodimenzionalnim altermagnetima, multiferoicima i efektima spin-orbitne interakcije u njima ali spektar tema koje bi mogao da radiš sa mnom nije ograničen time. Neke teme su već definisane, ali ukoliko i sam imaš ideju za koju želiš da ugleda svetlo dana ja sam uvek spreman da pođemo od nje i razradimo je kroz diskusiju. Posebno želim da istaknem mogućnost da radeći sa mnom aktivno sarađuješ sa vrhunskim eksperimentalcima iz Amerike, Engleske, Švajcarske, Nemačke, Italije,.
