Phuket Cricket About...

The Phuket Cricket Group (PCG) hosted its first game at the ACG in early November 2011 and has since hosted several high profile tours including; the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Members XI from Lords, the Singapore Cricket Club, the Delhi Viceroys, and the Cricket Association of Thailand (CAT) National Team vs Asian Invitational XI which featured former Bangladesh test captain, Aminul Islam.

Phuket Cricket has struggled significantly since the onset of the pandemic in 2020 with the loss of players and sponsors. Thanks to the financial support of a few PCG members and the emergence of the Phuket Vagabond rugby team cricket continues on the island.

With Thailand slowly reducing the barrier to entry we hope Phuket Cricket can yet again thrive and grow with stronger local teams and the revival of regular tour matches.
