This Privacy Policy explains how Status Saver (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) handles user data. By using this app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. App Overview
Status Saver is a utility app that helps users view, save, share, and manage status media files. The app may also include features such as Saved Vault, Deleted Message Recovery, Direct Chat, and Video Splitter.
This app is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by WhatsApp LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc., or any of their products.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not require users to create an account.
We do not collect, upload, sell, or share your personal WhatsApp messages, contacts, photos, videos, or status files to our own server.
Most app data is stored locally on your device.
3. Folder Access and Status Files
The app uses Android’s Storage Access Framework to let you choose a folder manually.
When you grant folder access, the app can read status media files from the selected folder so that it can display, save, share, or delete status files according to your actions.
The app does not access your storage without your permission.
4. Saved Vault
When you save a status to the app vault, the selected media file may be copied and stored locally on your device.
Saved files remain on your device unless you delete them from the app or clear the app data.
5. Deleted Message Recovery / Anti-Delete Message Viewer
If you enable Notification Access, the app may read WhatsApp notification text shown on your device.
This feature is used only to save notification text locally so that you can view messages that appeared in notifications, even if they are later deleted by the sender.
Important limitations:
- This feature works only for future notifications after permission is enabled.
- It cannot recover messages that were deleted before enabling Notification Access.
- It may not work if notifications are muted, hidden, disabled, or not shown by the device.
Notification data is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our server.
You can disable Notification Access at any time from your Android device settings.
6. Direct Chat
The Direct Chat feature lets you open a WhatsApp chat without saving a phone number.
Phone numbers or messages entered in this feature may be saved locally in app history for convenience.
This data stays on your device and can be cleared from the app or by clearing app data.
7. Video Splitter
The Video Splitter feature allows users to select a video and split it into smaller parts.
Temporary split video files may be stored in the app cache. These files are stored locally on your device and may be removed when you clear cache or app data.
8. Advertising
This app uses Google AdMob to show ads.
Google AdMob may collect and process certain information such as device information, advertising identifiers, approximate location, app interactions, and ad performance data to provide and improve advertising services.

We do not share your locally stored status files, notification logs, direct chat history, or split videos with third parties.

11. Data Retention and Deletion
Data saved by the app is stored locally on your device.
You can delete saved statuses, deleted message logs, direct chat history, and cache files from inside the app where available.
You can also delete all app data by going to Android Settings > Apps > Status Saver > Storage > Clear Data.
12. Permissions Used
The app may request or use the following permissions/features:
Internet Access:
Used to load ads and internet-based services.
Network State:
Used to check network availability for ads.
Folder Access:
Used only after you choose a folder, to display and manage status media files.
Notification Access:
Used only if you enable Deleted Message Recovery. This allows the app to read notification text and store it locally.
13. Children’s Privacy
This app is not directed to children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
14. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect data stored locally by the app. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Users are responsible for protecting their own device, screen lock, and app data.
15. User Responsibility
Users should only save, share, or repost content that they have permission to use.
We are not responsible for misuse of saved or shared content by users.
