Privacy Policy — Status Saver

This Privacy Policy describes how Status Saver ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App. Status Saver is developed by Sr Studio and is available for Android through Google Play.

1. No Account Required

Status Saver does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. There is no login system.

2. What the App Accesses on Your Device

Storage Access (Storage Access Framework)

The App asks you to select the folder where WhatsApp stores status updates using Android's built-in Storage Access Framework (SAF). This permission is used only to display statuses within the App and to allow you to save copies to your device.

The App does not access any other folders on your device and does not scan your device's storage beyond the single folder you explicitly select.

Saving Media

When you choose to save a status, the App writes the file to your device's public Pictures or Movies gallery using Android's MediaStore API.

Your media files remain on your device. The App does not upload, transmit, or share your photos, videos, or statuses with us or any third party.

Local App Database

The App stores a local on-device database containing information such as saved file names, save dates, and media types so it can display your Saved section.

This database never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

3. Advertising

The App displays advertisements primarily through Google AdMob. To improve ad delivery and maximize advertiser demand, AdMob may use mediation partners, including Meta Audience Network and AppLovin, where available.

These advertising services may collect and process information such as:

• Advertising ID

• Device information

• IP address

• General location (derived from your IP address)

This information is processed by the respective advertising providers to deliver, measure, and improve advertisements in accordance with their privacy policies.

Where required by applicable law (including in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), the App uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent before showing personalized advertisements or loading advertising-related services that process personal data.

You can review or withdraw your consent at any time using the Privacy Settings option available within the App.

4. Analytics and Crash Reporting

The App uses the following Firebase services provided by Google:

• Firebase Analytics

• Firebase Crashlytics

• Firebase Remote Config

Firebase Analytics helps us understand how users interact with the App, such as feature usage and navigation patterns.

Firebase Crashlytics automatically reports application crashes and technical issues so we can improve stability and fix bugs.

Firebase Remote Config allows us to adjust application behavior, such as advertisement frequency settings, without requiring users to install an application update.

These services collect technical information associated with an app-instance identifier rather than your name or contact information.

5. Rewarded Ad-Free Feature

The App provides a feature that allows users to watch a rewarded advertisement in exchange for a temporary ad-free experience.

Information about the remaining ad-free period is stored only on your device and is not linked to your identity or any online account.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not upload your WhatsApp statuses, photos, or videos to our servers.

We share information only when necessary to provide advertising, analytics, crash reporting, and app functionality through trusted third-party service providers, including:

• Google AdMob

• Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, and Remote Config)

• Meta Audience Network (via AdMob Mediation, where available)

• AppLovin (via AdMob Mediation, where available)

These third-party providers process information according to their own privacy policies.

7. Data Retention

• Media files you save remain on your device until you delete them.

• The App's local database remains on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.

• Analytics and crash-reporting information are retained according to Google's Firebase retention policies.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.

9. Your Choices

You may:

• Revoke the App's folder access permission at any time through your Android device settings.

• Reset your Advertising ID or manage personalized advertising through Android Settings.

• Review or withdraw advertising consent using the App's Privacy Settings option (where available).

• Delete local application data by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App.

Please note that withdrawing advertising consent affects future data processing but does not automatically delete information previously processed by Google or other third-party service providers. Management or deletion of such data is subject to the respective provider's own privacy controls.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any changes will be reflected by updating the Last updated date at the top of this page.
