PERSONALITY

"The Fighter" is a title embodying her promise to the universe --- to fight not only for herself, but for those who can't fight or defend themselves.

Originally trained and molded as a soldier in the Chancellery Guard, after the incident involving the Doctor (and then Master’s) disappearances from their homeplanet, she ends up taking her skills in the military across time and space. The Fighter primarily uses violence against her foes if the situation calls for it, but has been known to show mercy from time to time, making you wonder if she’s fighting for good or bad. As a warrior, no matter how many times she gets knocked down (or sometimes falls), she is always sure to get back up striking in the end, living put to her title: a person with the will, courage, determination, ability, or disposition to fight, struggle, resist, etc. A warrior. A Soldier.

She is the Irene Adler (like she originally was in the books not being a love interest, but feminine intellectual equal) to the Doctor’s Sherlock and the Master’s Moriarty.

BIOGRAPHY

The Fighter is one of the members born to the famous House Dvora (House of the Devouring Hounds) — the house most known for having a certain “madness” course through their veins after a previous member lost their mind and was exiled. She hopes the same fate doesn’t befall her. She is raised by her mother, having no knowledge of who her father is.

Once she makes it through the initiation ceremony for the Time Lord Academy, being inspired by the Untempered Schism (much to her joy), she knows now that she must focus on her future. Likes all parents on Gallifrey, at a young age, her mother quickly instilled the ideals of pursuing a promising career in Time Lord society into her daughter. She begins to pursue a career in the Chancellery Guard to make a positive change on Gallifrey while attending the Prydon Academy. It was while at the Academy where she met Koschei Oakdown, the person who would later become the Master.

At graduation, she takes on the title of “The Fighter,” vowing to fight not only for herself, but for others and the good of the universe as a true soldier should. She becomes Commander of the Chancellery Guard, and despite ending up in an arranged marriage with the Master, she comes to fall in love with him for who he is. However, the short and blissful life takes a turn when the Master ends up leaving Gallifrey. She is put on trial and accused for letting not only him escape, but the Doctor as well. The Fighter finds herself with no one to be her witness, knowing she has no other choice but to escape Gallifrey herself, already being deemed a criminal. She barley manages to escape, shot by one fo her own guard members, before regenerating and stealing a TARDIS of her own.

She was inspired when looking into the Untempered Schism and began to pursue a career in the Chancellery Guard, later on becoming the commander of the Chancellery Guard after graduation, and taking on the title “The Fighter.”

On Gallifrey, marriages served to strength alliances between the Great Houses and to maintain the Chapter’s power. The same happened with the Fighter, ending up in an arranged marriage with the Master. She eventually came to love him, but everything changed when he ended up leaving Gallifrey unexpectedly and she was accused of helping him escape, being put on trial. She barely managed to escape, grabbing a TARDIS of her own, but ended up regenerating when shot by one of her guard members…

Despite being exiled herself as punishment by the Time Lords for crimes she has committed, the Fighter plans to redeem herself, working for the organization of UNIT, becoming a soldier fighting for good on Earth and throughout the stars beside the Doctor. Flirtatious and playful, don’t let this Femme fatale trick you: it may be the last thing you do.

Despite this, she is still an unstoppable soldier underneath, not to be underestimated.

When her cousin, Romana, becomes President of Gallifrey, the Fighter decides this is the time to return back home to Gallifrey. Planning to help make a positive change for their home planet and their people, she signs on as another one of Romana's bodyguard's alongside Leela.

She witnesses the ghosts of her past and helps Gallifrey fight through many battles -- the Free Time terrorist group, a civil war against the malevolent Pandora, and the Dogma Virus.

But nothing could stop the true battle to come in the form of the Last Great Time War, in which she fights on the front lines.
