Lisa Tepes' life is a subject involving the story of reincarnation and trying to find her love again in the next life. 

In her previous life, she was known as Elisabetha Cronqvist — a noble woman who was the beloved wife of Mathias Cronqvist. She died suddenly from an illness while her husband was away on an expedition in the 11th century. 

Then she was born again, this time as Lisa of Lupu — a woman born from a small village who had been orphaned when she was little due to her parents passing from an illness and was inspired to become a Healer because of it. In the 15th century, she met Dracula (the person who Mathias had ended up becoming) and became involved in a relationship with him. The reason Dracula fell in love with her was because she was the spitting image of his previous wife, Elisabetha, who passed away during his fighting in God's name. From their union, Alucard was conceived, inheriting the vampiric traits of his father and his mother's human heart. Dracula's marriage to Lisa seemingly also helped restore Dracula's humanity temporarily.

Lisa created medicine for those who suffered from the epidemic. Due to the witch trials going on in Europe at the time, Lisa was apprehended and executed. Dracula later found her body, but arrived too late to save her. Alucard was present shortly before Lisa's death, just like his father, being unable to stop the event, with Lisa requesting that Alucard allowed the mob to kill her, under the belief that it would ultimately save their souls from eternal damnation. Lisa delivered the following words for Alucard to deliver to Dracula: "Do not hate humans. If you cannot live with them, then at least do them no harm, for theirs is already a hard lot." ...She also said that she would love you. For eternity.

Upon learning about his wife's death, Dracula vowed revenge. In 1476, he began his war upon humanity. However, by a chance of luck, Lisa was given a second chance to live out her life before eventually passing away at an old age.

In her next life, she will be reborn again as Mina Habuka — a priestess from the 21st century who's family will be responsible for thee sealing of Castlevania within the darkness of a solar eclipse in the battle of 1999, and who is also the childhood friend of Soma Cruz (the reincarnation of Dracula.)
