About

Startup Initiative Foundation (SIF) is a novel not-for-profit organization at Penn that provides valuable opportunities in cutting-edge fields for students across all departments and schools. This organization functions by partnering with local startups in Philadelphia to create exciting initiatives for Penn students. Through these initiatives, students gain opportunities ranging from skill-based internships to volunteering campaigns in the greater Philadelphia community. SIF aims to serve as the hub for student exposure and exploration in groundbreaking areas of study poised to advance humanity, setting them up to be leaders of the future. 

At this foundation, we encourage students to take initiative with the many opportunities we provide, and we believe that through all the opportunities we are providing Penn students, we are embodying the most meaningful way to succeed by helping others succeed through serving as a pipeline between initiative and opportunity. For this reason, the club’s motto is:
