Bio

I am currently a teaching assistant professor/postdoctoral associate at UNC-Chapel Hill department of mathematics. Previously, I did my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University under the guidance of Dr. Joshua Bostwick. I was born and raised in Bangladesh, where I did my B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

My research background includes a range of topics that broadly involve the dynamics of soft solid and fluid interfaces. I seek out problems of complex flow, soft and flexible materials that are important to fundamental science, as well as many industrial processes. These problems are described by an interplay of multiscale forces that cause surfaces to deform, fluids to flow, and patterns to emerge in the physical world.
