Stamford Festival: Parade of Floats 2019
2019 theme : Festival Parades through the Decades
The parade of floats through the centre of Stamford is one of the highlights of a number of activities during the Festival week. This year will be the 40th parade that Stamford Kiwanis have organised! To celebrate this, we have a theme that will allow you to recreate floats of the past, or just to have fun theming your float based on the 80s, 90s, Noughties or the current decade.
If you want to join the parade either with a float, a walking group or with a stall or display on the arena then please read on.
Those organisations who do enter a float find that the organisation and planning involved are very rewarding and generate a true community atmosphere on the day. It doesn't involve much effort or expense (floats are provided by CS Ellis free of charge). If you have entered before you will know the feeling of contributing to a true community event in our town. It is an excellent way to promote your club or business.
The theme for this year's parade is "Festival Parades through the Decades" so start thinking of all the ways you can entertain the crowds, telling them about your organisation as you wind your way through the town. Dust off those costumes (or just turn up in your workgear) and come and join us!
Activities on the field will take place between 12 noon and 5pm, with the parade expected to take place between 1pm and 3pm.
As last year, you can just complete the form below and return it by post or email to email@example.com .
If you want to know more, please contact the organiser, Kevin Howard, at firstname.lastname@example.org
