Stamford Festival: Parade of Floats 2018

(NB This years event is now over, plans for next year are underway for 2019)

2018 theme was : Serving our Community

Below are the notes from the past event:

The parade of floats through the centre of Stamford is one of the highlights of a number of activities during the Festival week. This year we hope to be well supported by the RAF as part of their 100th anniversary.

If you want to join the parade either with a float, a walking group or with a stall or display on the arena then please read on.

Those organisations who do enter a float find that the organisation and planning involved are very rewarding and generate a true community atmosphere on the day. It doesn't involve much effort or expense (floats are provided by CS Ellis free of charge). If you have entered before you will know the feeling of contributing to a true community event in our town. It is an excellent way to promote your club or business.

The theme for this year's parade is "Serving our Community" so start thinking of all the ways you can entertain the crowds, telling them about your organisation as you wind your way through the town. Dust off those costumes (or just turn up in your workgear) and come and join us!

Activities on the field will take place between 12 noon and 5pm, with the parade expected to take place between 1pm and 3pm.

As last year, you can just complete the form below and return it by post or email to parade.stamfordkiwanis@gmail.com .

If you want to know more, please contact the organiser, Steve Marsh, at parade.stamfordkiwanis@gmail.com

See you there!
