Stair Calculator: Stringer — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-11
This app is built to respect your privacy. We do not sell your personal data, and
your content stays on your device. This policy explains the limited data the app uses.
INFORMATION THE APP USES
- This app does not require location, camera, or microphone access. It is a pure
geometry calculator: the stair, riser, tread, stringer and IRC code-check values
you enter and view are computed on your device.
- your inputs and settings (total rise, run, unit preference, last calculated
stair) are stored on your device only.
- anonymous diagnostics and crash reports (via Google Firebase Analytics and
Crashlytics) to keep the app stable.
- an advertising identifier and related data used by Google AdMob to show ads. On
iOS, the app asks for your permission via App Tracking Transparency (ATT) before
any tracking, and uses Google's UMP consent flow to honor GDPR/EEA choices. You
can decline tracking and the app keeps working with non-personalized ads.
HOW IT IS USED
All stair calculations are performed on-device from the numbers you enter. Your
inputs, unit preference and last result are stored on your device only.
We use the data above only to provide the app's features, to keep the app stable,
and (with your consent) to show ads. We do not build advertising profiles ourselves
and we do not upload your content to our servers.
DATA RETENTION & YOUR CONTROL
Settings and content you create are stored on your device and are removed when you
delete the app. You can revoke tracking permission at any time in the iOS Settings
app; the app will continue to work with non-personalized ads.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The app may use: Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) and Google AdMob (ads).
Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies.
CHILDREN
This app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal
information from children.
