Fadi Zaid ("I", "me", or "my") operates the Stack Tasks and Reminders mobile application (the "App").
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

Information Collection and Use

The App is designed to help users manage tasks and reminders. 

I do not collect, store, or sell any personally identifiable information.

You can use the App without creating an account or providing personal data.

The App processes the following information locally on your device or through your personal Apple account:

• Tasks, reminders, and brainstorm data: Created, managed, and imported by you locally on your device. 

• Time-sensitive triggers and Live Activities: Configured by you to display countdowns, priority alerts, and dynamic island updates locally on your device screen. 

• App preferences and settings: Including custom accent colors, font scales, and display options. 

• Photo Library access: If you choose to set a custom background image, the App requires access to your device's photo library. The selected images remain strictly on your device and are never transmitted to external servers.

• Apple Reminders access: If you choose to import your existing tasks, the App requires permission to read your device's Apple Reminders. This access is used solely to fetch your pending reminders and copy them into Stack. All data processing happens locally on your device; your reminders are never uploaded to our servers, stored externally, or shared with third parties. 

• Calendar access (Apple Calendar Sync): If you choose to enable the "Sync with Apple Calendar" feature, the App requires permission to access your device's calendar. This access is used solely to create, update, and manage a dedicated "Stack" calendar for your scheduled items. All calendar data is processed locally on your device or synced via your personal iCloud account. The App does not collect, read, store on external servers, or share your personal calendar events with any third parties. 

Data Storage and Retention

• Free Tier Storage: To maintain optimal performance and organization, the free version of the App may automatically delete past items when their number exceeds a limit of 50 items. The App provides an in-app notification when you are approaching this limit, giving you the opportunity to review your tasks before removal.

• Premium Tier Storage: Users who subscribe to Stack Premium have unlimited storage on their device. The automatic removal of past or completed items is disabled for Premium users.

• All user-generated content (tasks, reminders, and brainstorm nodes) is stored locally on your device unless cloud features are explicitly enabled in future updates. You are responsible for managing and backing up your data through your device.

Third-Party Services & Apple Integration 

The App integrates with built-in Apple services to function properly. The App does not control how Apple handles your data. These services include: 

• App Store services & In-App Purchases: For managing the Stack Premium subscription.

• Push Notifications: The App uses Apple’s push notification services to deliver alerts using an anonymous device token.

• Apple Watch Companion: If you install or use the Apple Watch companion app, your active tasks and reminders are synced locally between your iPhone and your watch using Apple’s Watch Connectivity framework. 

• Live Activities & Widgets: The App utilizes iOS Live Activities, Dynamic Island, and Home Screen widgets to display real-time task countdowns and progress locally on your device.

• Analytics and Technical Data: Anonymous diagnostic data, identifiers such as device type and model, app version. This data is not linked to your identity.

These services operate under Apple's own privacy policies.

Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services that could collect anonymous data, including:

• In-App Purchases & Subscriptions: The App uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase identifiers, transaction receipts and usage data to verify your subscription status, operating under RevenueCat’s privacy policy. User Rights

Since the App does not collect personal data, there is generally no data to access, modify, or delete.

You retain full control over your data directly within the App and your Apple account settings.

Children’s Privacy

The App is suitable for users of all ages (4+).
I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Security

Although no personal data is collected, reasonable measures are taken to ensure the App operates securely. However, no system is completely secure.

Your data is on your own device and may be not encrypted.

Links to Other Services

The App may contain links to external websites or apps. I am not responsible for their privacy practices.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect new features or changes in practices.
