Ways to Give

Where does the money go?

Stacey's two favorite things were teaching her psychology high school students and coaching the Cruisers swim teams in Castle Rock, Co. In her memory, we decided that all donations will be directed towards both of Stacey's passions.

Stacey was a strong advocate for getting kids in the water, teaching them water safety, while also giving them a competative environment to practice their skills. With your donations we will be able to provide funds for young athletes who cannot afford to pay the team participation cost or pay for equipment such as swim suits and googles. In sponsoring athletes with funds, it would provide them with the opportunity to learn how to swim, create friendships, establish healthy habits as well as allowing them to participate in something that they would otherwise not be able to do.

Secondly, Stacey loved teaching at Douglas County High School, especailly her AP Psychology students. She taught there for 22 years and continued to volunteer at school after her diagnosis. She loved every student and desired to see each one succeed. Nothing would make her happier than to be able to help students who are seeking a career in teaching. Therefore, the other portion of the donations, will be funneled into partial scholarships for students who have a passion for education and are pursuing a college degree in secondary education (high school teaching).
