What is an Occupational Therapist?
Occupational Therapists help to facilitate independence in all areas of an individual’s life across the lifespan.
Following an illness or injury.
Living with a chronic health condition, or
Maintaining independence and safety through the aging process.
Occupational Therapists also assist individuals with learning life skills to prepare for milestones, such as entering school or the workforce.
Who Do We Serve?
Individuals who have sustained:
A concussion
Acquired brain injury
Spinal cord injury
Amputation
Orthopedic injuries (e.g. fractures) and musculoskeletal injuries.
Individuals who are living with chronic conditions:
Mental health disorders / impairments
Neurodegenerative disorders (e.g. Multiple sclerosis)
Chronic pain
Adults and older individuals who require support through the aging process.
