I understand that using Revit or something will work better but i was wondering if there was any way to import a Staad model into inventor. I understand that there is no quick fix as far as i know like changing the file extension but wonder if anyone had any luck using the frame generator on a staad stick figure model. Thanks
Thank you for the info, however i am trying to use the frame gen to build off of a staad model in inventor. The analysis function is nice but i am asking on how to import a already designed model (from staad) into inventor to build from.

The forum will not allow a .std staad file to be attached for some reason. Says it is not a valid file extension. I appreciate the help and willingness to help convert this file but i am looking for long term (multiple) files to be able to import and steps on how to achive this more than once. I am going to assume that without said programs it is not possible.? Thanks
Upon further review of the file extensions, i was able to export a Staad file as a DXF file and able to open or import that file as a part (2D or 3D wireframe) into Inventor. This was my goal and wanted to post as FYI Thanks
