Dear Guardians,
We have decided to hold online classes for classes V and VI from 25th April, 2022 to 13th May, 2022. The classes will be of 30 minutes duration each with a break of 10 minutes between classes to provide the required rest to the young eyes, mind, and body.
This has been necessitated because of the Board Examinations (ICSE & ISC) scheduled to be held during this period.
Offline classes will resume for all from 15th June 2022, when the school reopens after the Summer Vacation.

The school gates are going to be opened again for the students of Classes VIII to XII from 3 rd February 2022.
It has been a long time since we met at school without fear stalking us at every step. I am confident that you have been waiting for this day quite as eagerly as we.

The present circumstances have brought a gamut of changes in the concept of normalcy as evinced by the way we conduct ourselves in daily life.
As an integral part of Life, Education and Pedagogy has had to adapt to the changes as much as any other aspect. Keeping abreast of all the procedural changes which Time has forced upon us, we have begun the online classes which are the new normal way of imparting education to the next generation. As per the guidelines issued by the boards, cumulative performance will be taken into account while conferring marks to the students and not merely the performance in a solitary examination. Therefore, attendance in the classes takes on paramount importance in this scenario. As the future of the children is at stake here, we can not afford to take the slightest risk. As per the directive of the board concerning the matter, a minimum of 75% attendance in the classes is one of the compulsory requirements for appearing in the examinations. Further in this regard, the CISCE has adopted the internationally accepted method of evaluation which entails inclusion of the performance of a student throughout the year, the marks and other details of which will be automatically uploaded to the Council's website, making it immensely important for the students of Classes IX to XII to do well throughout the year, for which attending all the classes is a must.
Hence I would advise you to impress upon your wards the importance of attending all of the classes held online, for not doing so will affect their future adversely.
In this regard, any suggestions you may have is always welcome, as we believe that there always is room for improvement.

Dear Guardians,
Abiding strictly by the guidelines issued by the Government, we are going to resume offline scholastic activities for the classes IX onwards from 01.03.2021. We are happy to have had a huge percentage of attendance at the online classes conducted by us during the last academic year : 2020 - 2021, vouching for the success of our attempts at continuing the scholastic activities during the hardest of times. To bolster this knowledge, we shall be holding revision classes in the month of March.
Further, adhering to our basic policy of keeping the children's safety at the top of the priority list, we shall hold the offline classes for the outgoing batch only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, in order to minimize the risk to our children.
The students of Class IX who aspire to study Science will have to appear in a test of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology in the second week of March to qualify for the same. The dates for these examinations are as follows.
15/03/2021- Physics and Chemistry.
17/03/2021- Mathematics and Biology.

Dear Students,
This is to bring to your notice certain facts about the conduct of the annual examination 2021.
That as we wish our students to be thoroughly prepared for the ordeals they are likely to face in life, keeping in mind the fact that Life seldom gives a second chance and never allows an extension of time, we are going to do the same. The students are required to submit their answer sheets online strictly within the prescribed time limit. No extension of time for any reason whatsoever will be allowed.
If a student fails to submit his/her answers for evaluation on time, he/she will be deemed to have forfeited the chance and will have to take the examination on a later date and time which will be intimated to him/her in due time.

Annual Examination of your ward is scheduled to be held in January 2021 and the result of the same is to be published in February 2021. The new session will commence on and from March 2021 ( it will be a 13 month session).
The facility of ONLINE payment of fee is now open .We earnestly appeal to you to kindly clear all due fee upto March 2021 within 31st January, thus enabling your ward to obtain the annual result and be a part of the New Academic Session in March 2021.

Dear Guardians,
Through the dark days, all of you must have taken cognizance of the relentless and uncompromising efforts of all our teachers and non-teaching staff members to continue the scholastic activities notwithstanding the adverse situation. As a result of these stellar efforts, though the odds were stacked against us, we have achieved the goal of completing the syllabus. Through the month of December, we will revise it so that our students are well prepared to face any test. This year, the syllabus was shortened in order to enable our students to assimilate and accrue the requisite knowledge within the limitations imposed by the adverse situation, without compromising on the quality of the same.
Therefore, it has been decided that the Annual Examinations will be held online in the month of January, 2021. Each Examination will be for 80 (Eighty) marks. With our constant concern for the students and their wellbeing in mind, the examinations have been devised to include Multiple Choice Questions for 40 marks and Descriptive Answer type questions worth 40 (Forty) marks.
Further, we will be starting the next academic session from the month of March so that the session is extended by one month, it being of 13 ( Thirteen ) months, enabling all involved to revise the lessons of this session before going ahead with those of the next. This is why the examinations have been preponed.
Our dedicated and enthusiastic teachers will be conducting classes on the Saturdays too during the next session to facilitate the learning process.
We at SXI have always given our best when it comes to the safety, security and healthy living of our students.

Dear Team SXI,
It's that time of year again when we celebrate Independence.
This year, it's different. Now is not the time to gather in large numbers and celebrate. Life dictates prudence today. We must be safe today to celebrate tomorrow.
Yet, Time's inexorable progress has brought the Independence Day to our doorstep. This year too, the tricolor will fly high atop our school building at 9 am in Panihati and at 10.30 am in Ruiya on the 15 th of August . There will be no fanfare, no children's presence, no children's laughter to reassure life, no running feet raising the dust, no song and dance to colour the atmosphere.Yet, I am sure that all will be there in spirit. The whole SXI Family will sway to the tune of the music of freedom when our dearest tricolour waves in the wind, proudly declaring that we may be restricted in the body, but our spirit is free.
We shall miss the exuberance physically this year, but we promise to come back with renewed spirit and energy next time around, to make up for all the time lost.
Till then, let us stand up straight, look destiny in the eye as the stains of the National Anthem reverberates through our soul. Let us keep the spirit high. As they say, when the going gets tough, the toughs get going.

Dear Students,
As the tough times test our mettle, we are determined to pass out of these times with flying colours. As a part of our endeavor towards achieving the same we have decided to hold online examinations for Classes X and XII. What is different about these examinations is that this time the questions will be just like those asked in the board examinations instead of the MCQs asked in the previous examinations held online. We have made appearing in these examinations as easy and enjoyable for you as we can. Go through the following paragraphs carefully and you will realize just how. Here is how to appear in these examinations.
How to access the Question Paper:
Question paper PDF file will be available at our tutorials portal http://tutorials.sxipanihati.org and will be distributed through your WhatsApp group 10 minutes prior to exam time. Open the web site and scroll down to ‘senior section’ page where you will find the question link given. Click on the link to open/ download the PDF format question paper. Your mobile/PC should have PDF reader installed.
How to submit answer scripts:
After downloading/opening the PDF format question paper start writing on rough Copy (or similar A4 size copy) and after completion of your exam you will get 30 minutes more to e-mail your answer sheet in PDF file format.
Please keep in mind that there are different email ids for different days, classes and subjects and the email id will be available at the top of your question paper and with the exam link.
Points to remember –
1. You must write School's Name, Your Name, Your Class, Your section and roll number at the top of the first page.
2. After finishing your examination, take images of all the pages with your mobile camera.
3. Create a PDF file and rename it with “Subject-Your Name-Class-Section-Roll number” (separated with hyphen.)
4. After renaming the PDF file you have to send (share through your Gmail) to the specified email id for your class.
5. Please remember, in Email as SUBJECT you must write “Subject-Your Name-Class-Section-Roll number” (separated with hyphen.) Otherwise it may get mixed-up with other email.
