5. การเก็บรักษาและการลบ

6. ความปลอดภัย

1. Overview
SSunEpub is an on-device reading application. It has no account system, advertising, behavioral analytics, or SSunApp server receiving or storing user data.
2. Data accessed and created by the app
The app accesses only books or folders selected by the user through Android's system file picker. It creates information needed for its features on the device, including the library catalog, cover images, reading positions, per-book settings, bookmarks, highlights, notes, pronunciation corrections, and OCR results for PDF pages. It may create private working files for TXT, HTML, Markdown, and FB2 files selected by the user.
3. How data is used
This information is used only to display and read books, remember reading positions, search, perform OCR, provide read-aloud features, manage notes, and restore user settings. OCR runs on the device. The app does not have the INTERNET permission to transmit this information to SSunApp.
4. Sharing and external services
SSunEpub does not sell, rent, or transmit books, notes, OCR results, or usage information to SSunApp or advertisers. Users may intentionally export backups or share files to a location or app they choose. Read-aloud text is provided to the Android Text-to-Speech service selected by the user. That service is a separate app and may follow its own provider's data practices. Pro is offered as a one-time purchase through Google Play. Google directly receives and processes payment details; the app never sees card numbers or payment-method details. The app receives only the product identifier, purchase status and purchase token needed to activate and restore Pro, and stores the entitlement state on the device. SSunApp may access order records made available by Google in Play Console as needed for support, refunds, accounting and fraud prevention.
5. Retention and deletion
App data remains on the device until the user deletes it with the relevant feature, clears the app's data, or uninstalls the app. Removing a book from the library does not delete the original unless the user explicitly chooses to delete it from the device. OCR results can be cleared from Help & About. User-exported backups remain in the chosen location until the user deletes them. Android automatic backup is disabled.
6. Security
App data is protected by Android's application sandbox, and Android's system file picker lets the user control which files the app may access. Users should secure their device and exported backups. No storage method can guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The app is not designed to collect personal data from children and has no account, advertising, or user-tracking system.
8. Changes
If the app's features or data practices change, SSunApp will update this policy and its effective date before releasing the relevant version.
