Welcome to the homepage of the Early Career Researcher Workshop of the 15th International Symposium of Spatial and Temporal Databases (SSTD 2017) in Arlington VA.

Scope and Aim: This workshop aims to help early-career researchers, e.g., junior faculty member and senior PhD students, in their professional development. Topics will be discussed include: funding opportunities and grant proposal preparation, tenure and promotion procedure, time management, student advising, and other related issues. We welcome SSTD participants to attend the workshop.

Planned Activities: Planned activities include panels and group discussion. We will invite program managers and recent awardees of NSF CRII and CAREER programs, program managers from other federal agencies and industry companies, as well as senior faculty members to share their experiences.

Registration Policy: This workshop is part of SSTD 2017. There is no additional registration requirements.
