Dr. Nanditha Krishna, President of the Conjeeverum Hindu Education Society which runs the SSKV Schools and College, is a historian, environmentalist and writer based in Chennai. She has a Ph.D., in Ancient Indian Culture and is the Director of the C.P.Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation and Founder Director of its constituents: C.P.Art Centre, C.P.R. Institute of Indological Research, Saraswathi Kendra Learning Centre for Children and The Grove School in Chennai, Shakunthala Jagannathan Museum of Folk Art and Rangammal Vidyalaya in Kanchipuram, Sir C.P.Ramaswami Aiyar Memorial Nursery & Primary School in Kumbakonam and C.P.R. Environmental Education Centre. She is a Research Guide for the Ph.D. Programme of the University of Madras. She has authored more than 14 books and edited 8 books relating to ecology; published several research papers in leading national and international journals; and is noted for their columns in leading English newspapers. She is the great grand daughter of one of the illustrious sons of India, Sri.C.P.Ramaswamy Aiyar, Diwan of the erstwhile Travancore State. She is keenly interested in women's education and the founding of the college was the result of her desire to offer quality education to girls in and around Kanchipuram.
