Pyra spins around, swinging her sword while simultaneously kicking behind her. This move is relatively fast and has a hitbox on both sides of her. It can be useful if an opponent is using an unsafe ambiguous crossup, as you can easily punish whichever side they land on. It can also be useful to punish special fall after high recoveries. The low angle on DSmash makes it even better at this, either sending them back offstage or towards the corner.
This move actually consists of two hits, which are independent and can both connect. Typically, this is only relevant against shielding opponents, where both hits will hit the shield and, if both are sweetspotted, it has the most shield damage of any uncharged Pyra move.
There is also an extremely niche and character specific interaction when doing a reverse DSmash out of run, where some characters can be hit by first the leg, then the sword. This is impractical in real games, however, due to many factors including rage and opponent percentage.
