Fireball (Neutral Special): Fireball is a primary tool to provide pressure and aid approaches for Mario, as it can lead into his extreme combo game. Foresight is very effective versus it due to its slow speed allowing plenty of time to react. Fireball can also be swatted out with aerials, and Blazing End can be used if Mario approaches recklessly with it.
Bair: Very fast aerial with large range and the ability to be done twice in a shorthop. Can combo start both rising and falling at low percents, and kills at high percents.
Grab: Mario's premiere combo starter, it is one of his best gateways into his combo game which is exceptionally strong
Uair: Uair can combo into itself rising and is a staple of Mario's combo game. When being ladder comboed by it, generally attempt to mix up DI and especially DI away from platforms to reduce extensions Mario can get. Uair ladders usually will not kill without platform extensions.
Up-b (Frame 3) - Low horizontal range, can be out spaced by even Jab. Extremely fast, can punish any improperly spaced attack.
Nair (Frame 6) - Decent speed, although not notably rewarding on hit. Unless done as a full momentum nair, will get low profiled by Dtilt, dsmash, and many slightly spaced landing aerials.
Uair (Frame 7) - Very high reward when hit, but the most prone of his aerials to being low profiled or outspaced. Hits first in front. Consistently low profiled by all landing aerials, Dtilt, and Dsmash, and gets low profiled by Ftilt if Mythra is too close.
Dair (Frame 8) - Gets low profiled when shield is hit by Dtilt, or Dsmash. Slightly spaced aerials also low profile, however Mythra can also shield it and then foresight.
Bair (Frame 9) - Gets low profiled by all landing aerials and Dsmash, but not Dtilt.
Grab (Frame 10) - Reaches to about the edge of Mario's full shield, making it easy to outspace
