Head Coach

Nathan Wanuch

I started running Cross Country in fifth grade. Since then, I have fallen in love with the sport, and it has taken me all over Canada and USA. I grew up in Mississauga, Ontario where I trained and competed with Etobicoke Track Club. I was fortunate to have outstanding coaches who developed my abilities and turned me into a national-level athlete. I competed at the Canadian Junior National championships in Cross County as well as Track & Field. After running for Brock University for one year, I earned a scholarship to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where I competed for four years. Under the guidance of Coach Bill Gautier, I developed even further, eventually earning my status as team captain. During that time I also was able to compete at the Canadian National Cross Country Championships as well as the Track & Field National Championships.

During my time at UTC, I earned a number of accolades and set many of my Personal Record times.

My Coaching Philosophy

As a coach, I strive to develop a passion and love for running in all of my athletes. I encourage my athletes to live by one rule:

Be better tomorrow than you are today.

To be a successful runner, you have to live a dedicated lifestyle. You have to be willing to work hard and push yourself. You can't be afraid of the pain. You have to learn to take care of your body as well as your mind. Running is as much a mental challenge as it is a physical challenge!

Athletes who eat right, sleep right, and train right are the ones who experience success in this sport!

My Personal Records

My goal when I started this club was to challenge young athletes to push themselves and improve. My hope is that they will develop into athletes who achieve more than I was able to as a runner.

I challenge all of my athletes to chase and surpass the times I was able to run!
