Dr. Soomro is an assistant professor of electronic engineering at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. He did a joint postdoctoral research fellowship at Voptica SL-a medical device SME and the Optics Labs, University of Murcia, Spain, received PhD in electrical and electronics engineering from Koç Üniversitesi, Istanbul, Turkey, and an undergraduate degree in communication engineering from Sukkur IBA Univerity, Pakistan. During Postdoc and PhD research, he worked on vision testing and diagnostic instruments, wearable 3D display systems, and 3D imaging technologies. He has published and presented his research work in reputable international journals and conferences and, contributed as a co-inventor in international patents. He is also recognized as an approved PhD supervisor in the field of engineering and technology by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan.
