Sridip Parui

I am Sridip Parui. I pursued Bachelors Honours in Chemistry with Physics and Mathematics from the University of Calcutta in 2011 and Master of Science in Chemistry from IIT Delhi in 2013. I have completed Ph.D in 2019 from the School of Chemical Sciences, Indian Association for Cultivation of Science (IACS) under the supervision of Prof. Biman Jana. During my doctoral research, I explored thermodynamics of hydrophobic interaction, investigating its impact on protein stability, cold denaturation, and chemical denaturation of protein. In 2020, as a postdoctoral associate I joined Prof. Ken A Dill’s group from Laufer Center, Stony Brook University where I was involved in the development of Bayesian computational techniques for modelling protein structures as well as protein-ligand and protein-protein interactions.

In April 2024, I joined Srivastava Lab as a Post Doc Fellow with my work focusing on development and application of bioinformatics, statistical inference, and MD-based methodologies to predict metamorphic nature of proteins and unravel the underlying factors driving their formation.
